I recently picked up volume 3 of the Popeye series, this one containing all of the cartoons from 1941-1943. Most of them are military based, with Popeye fighting very dated stereotypes of Japanese soldiers. There are quite a few good Poopdeck episodes as well. I'm about halfway through the bunch right now and enjoying them immensely! This set also introduces Popeye's nephews from an unknown sibling (Poopdeck got around), Peepeye, Pipeye, Pupeye, and Poopeye. I always felt sorry for poor Poopeye. I forsaw a lot of therapy in that kid's future.
