Just in case you got here in a manner other than a link on my site... The Rough HouseThis is my own Popeye site; I started it ages ago, it seems! It has been rather stagnant, bah...sorry about that. I haven't lost interest in Popeye though...I swear!! Whenever I make an update to the site, I will post in this thread.

Okay...after I don't even want to know how many years, I have finally made and posted screencaps of the movie. The movie section of the site is here.

Actually, your Popeye page was the one that connected me to the Plenty of Popeye Page, which connected me to the famousstudiospopeye Yahoo group, whcih connecter me to this board. Pretty weird, eh? Full circle.

I want everyone to know that I am totally revamping my website's "episode guide" (I know they aren't episodes but it's just easy to call it that). I do feel bad that I haven't updated it in so long but I had run out of Popeye films to review. But my brother very helpfully digitally recorded all but the hard-to-find Popeyes for me (he says it took 7 harddrives, and if they're anything like the ones my computer uses, they run between one and two hundred dollars apiece!) and made me a DVD set. Now I am redoing the guide into seperate pages for each film, and I will post screengrabs along with my summaries and snarky comments. Aren't you all lucky. (Notice that was a statement not a question. ) I *would* appreciate it if anyone could hook me up with the Popeyes I am missing; you know, the non-pc ones that you can't generally find anywhere. I would also like the original versions of the ones that I have that have been either colorised or censored. I'm going to post the list, and if nothing else it will give you an idea of what films I *do* have, that I will be reviewing and screencapping for the guide. Missing: Invention Convention Gift of Gag Nearly Weds Scrap the Japs A Jolly Good Furlough Big Chief Ugh-amugh-ugh Popeye's Pappy Tar With a Star The Island Fling Safari So Good Pop-Pie a la Mode Mess Provention Censored: Penny Antics I Don't Scare Spinach vs Hamburgers Punch and Judo Rocket To Mars Popeye and the Pirates Wotta Knight My Artistical Temperature (both censored and colorised) Colorised: The Hungry Goat Blunder Below Let's Get Movin' Popeye the Sailor

You know what might force me to review them faster...if we discuss individual films on here, like weekly or something. Then I can watch it and post screencaps and everything. In addition to the IMDB links I've always had, I'm also going to include links to the films on the guide over at TV.com which I maintain (I only just got it, and I have yet to add the Famouses). I encourage people to go to either or both sites and submit reviews, and I hope my guide will make doing that easier.
